Following the waste management program and landfill improvement initiatives across Croatia, along with the possibility of co-financing equipment purchases for landfills through the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund, Bomag compactor model BC 573 RB-5 has been delivered to the City of Senj. The Bomag BC 573 RB-5 is specifically designed for challenging and heavy-duty conditions at landfills. Weighing an impressive 28 tons, it features a powerful 6-cylinder turbo diesel Mercedes MTU engine that utilizes the latest technology to ensure power for all landfill operating conditions. Additionally, it is equipped with the Ecomod system for fuel consumption reduction, a cooling temperature regulation system, and a variable speed fan, providing high efficiency and extended maintenance intervals.
Specially developed polygonal wheels with teeth ensure excellent traction and maximum compaction in a short period. The cabin is ergonomically designed, equipped with air conditioning, a pneumatically supported and heated driver’s seat, providing maximum comfort during operation. This model will replace the already proven older model of the Bomag compactor and will undoubtedly significantly improve the capacity to accept larger amounts of waste, thereby extending the landfill’s lifespan.
